About MLHChicago

Mended Little Hearts provides care bags to let families know that we care and that they are not alone.
Families are connected to a caring support network and given educational materials and comfort items to help them cope.
Children treated at Advocate Hope Children's Hospital, Advocate Lutheran General Children's Hospital, Lurie's Childrens Hospital of Chicago (formerly Children's Memorial Hospital of Chicago) and Rush Children's Hospital will benefit from our care bags.
Over 1,000 children a year will have cardiac surgery to repair a congenital heart defect at these hospitals.

A Heart beat.
For many parents, hearing the heartbeat of their unborn child becomes the first loving bond to the child. The discovery of a child's heart defect, whether diagnosed in the womb, shortly after birth, or during childhood, is often devastating.

When parents hear the news that their child has a heart defect, many feel hopeless and alone. Mended Little Hearts, a program of The Mended Hearts, Inc., lets parents know that there is hope and that they are not alone. Mended Little Hearts was created to help restore hope through a loving community of people with shared experiences.
